The Prep Work: What Happens Before a Carpet Installation?
First thing’s first, if you don’t already have carpet flooring picked out, we can assist you witht that. Every home is unique and here at Floor Restore & More, we want to make sure your new flooring fits with your home’s aesthetic.
Once we pick out the new carpets, we can move on to prepping the space for the install. We’ll need to take a look at your current subfloors and assess if they need to be replaced. Then we’ll clean the subfloors thoroughly so that we have a smooth install from start to finish.
At this point it’s also normal for us to remove doors if necessary, put down carpet padding, and prep the actual carpet for installation.
